Representing views of teachers of mathematics
AAMT is the national voice of the mathematics teaching profession. From time to time the Association develops Policies and Position Papers on issues of importance to school mathematics - when papers are under development, consultation versions will be made available through this page. A timeline for the completion of each paper is agreed at the commencement of the development process.
The AAMT provides submissions to a wide range of relevant enquiries and reviews etc., as well as producing discussion papers and other public statements from time to time as appropriate. These are also made available below.
Papers under development
AAMT is currently preparing feedback to the draft Australian Curriculum: Mathematics K-10.
Completed submissions and other documents
AAMT members were recently invited to contribute to AAMT's submission (February 2010) to MCEECDYA's in response to the Draft Indigenous Education Action Plan 2010-2014. The final submission will be published here when permission is received from MCEECDYA.
