AAMT's privacy policy
The privacy policy of the Australian Association of Mathematics Teachers Inc adopts the National Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000.
Why AAMT collects information
AAMT collects and stores personal information which is necessary to administer membership and other business activities and to keep members up to date with various services provided by AAMT including professional news, conferences and resource updates. The information we collect is recorded electronically.
Confidentiality
Your personal information is strictly confidential. It is not made available to any outside organisation. Only AAMT office staff and the AAMT Executive members have access to your information.
Can I access my personal information?
Yes. Members and other associates have the right to request access to their personal information. This right is subject to some exceptions which are set out in the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000. In order to ensure the privacy and security of its members and other associates, AAMT requires any request for information to be made in writing and include your full name, address and phone number.
