The AAMT maintains active links and connections with a variety of educational organisations -- most are mathematically oriented, but there are others of a more general nature. If you would like to suggest other organisations for inclusion here, please let us know who and why.
Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS)
This website provides access to a vast collection of real data about Australia and Australians. Of particular interest to teachers will be the Education Resources link, including access to the CensusAtSchool project designed for students in years 5 to 12.
Australian Council for Educational Reseach (ACER)
A national, independent research body with an extensive range of projects and publications.
Australian Government Education Portal
A gateway to thousands of sites providing information about education and training in Australia.
Australian Mathematics Trust
The Trust is a national non-profit organisation which administers mathematical enrichment activities for Australian and international students and publishes books on mathematical enrichment.
Curriculum Corporation
An independent education support organisation. Curriculum Corporation was established to assist education systems in improving student learning outcomes and is owned by all Australian education ministers.
Early Childhood Australia
Early Childhood Australia is the peak early childhood advocacy organisation, acting in the interests of young children, their families and those in the early childhood field. Early Childhood Australia is a specialist early childhood publisher, and the Early Childhood Australia website contains links to free online articles and resources.
edna
edna is a collaborative venture between major stakeholders in the school, vocational and higher education sectors. It provides a comprehensive website and access to many other online resources for education in Australia.
Japan Society of Mathematical Education (JSME)
The AAMT has Corresponding Society staus with the Japan Society of Mathematical Education (JSME). This is a formal expression of the valuable links between many Australian teachers of mathematics and their colleagues in Japan.
Mathematics Education Research Group of Australasia (MERGA)
The Mathematics Education Research Group of Australia Inc (MERGA) exists to support and further the interests of mathematics education. It does this through an annual conference, journal, newsletter and other publications.
National Centre of Science, Information and Communication Technology, and Mathematics Education for Rural and Regional Australia (SiMERR)
SiMERR Australia works with rural and regional communities to achieve improved educational outcomes for all students in the areas of Science, ICT and Mathematics.
