Other organisations
The AAMT maintains active links and connections with a variety of educational organisations -- most are mathematically oriented, but there are others of a more general nature. If you would like to suggest other organisations for inclusion here, please let us know who and why.
National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM)
The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) is the equivalent body to the AAMT in the United States. It has an excellent website and the AAMT carries a selection of relevant titles from its extensive catalogue (and can obtain other items on request).
National Education Forum (NEF)
The National Education Forum (NEF) is a coalition of national associations of practising educators and parents.
New Zealand Association of Mathematics Teachers (NZAMT)
The New Zealand Association of Mathematics Teachers is the national group of mathematics teachers in New Zealand.
Teaching Australia
Teaching Australia - Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership is funded by the Australian Government to support and advance the effectiveness and standing of the teaching profession. It was launched as a permanent body in December 2005, following a period of interim operation as the National Institute for Quality Teaching and School Leadership (NIQTSL).
The Association of Teachers of Mathematics
A UK association with more than 4000 members - mainly teachers in primary and secondary schools.
