A supplementary resource consisting of carefully constructed incorrect mathematical statements that require students to find counter-examples to disprove them.
The first section of the book contains examples from each of five topics: Functions, Limits, Continuity, Differential Calculus and Integral Calculus. The second part of the book provides suggested solutions and comments for students, and the appendices include two papers examining students' performance and attitudes and providing research-based recommendation of the use of counter-examples in the teaching and learning of calculus.
