This book is a selection of interesting, innovative and informative articles from the early editions of Australian Primary Mathematics Classroom. It is designed to act as a resource for teachers of mathematics in the primary and early childhood sectors of education. Each article can act as a resource for teaching ideas as well as providing up to date information on how research supports effective teaching and learning of mathematics. For convenience, the papers have been grouped under the headings of Working Mathematically, Number, Shape and Space to correspond to the general strands of mathematics teaching found in most Australian state and territory curriculum and syllabus documents.
