The author claims that a one hour investment of time in the tutorial will allow the novice user to undertake any of the demonstrations, which include the concept of differentiation, discovering the chain rule, investigating trigonometric identities, laws of logs and understanding the binomial approximation. The book comes with a CD-ROM to use with an interactive whiteboard or a digital projector, and includes a 30-day trial version of Autograph. Instructions are detailed and clear; for teachers needing further support, there is suggested teacher dialogue, prompts and even ideal student responses. Tutorials for both students and teachers are a part of the package, as well as a valuable hints section.
